Visual Activities for Home:

1. BUBBLES - the best way to coordinate our eye muscles are to use them to look at targets, especially small moving targets.  Bubbles are a universal yes for most kiddos.  Give them a small item like a straw or tongue depressor and let them try to pop the bubbles with the end of the wand.

2. ZINGO - this is a wonderful game that has children find visual matches.  Discrimination or telling the difference between items is the first developmental visual perceptual skill.  The game has game boards kind of like BINGO, and they use a small dispenser to get cards and compare it to their game board.

3. LIGHT TABLE - to create shadows and help children perceive the difference between shapes and sizes, a light table is a really fun way to do that.  If you find a tupperware container with an fogged top, it will dispense the light.  Fill the container with either string lights or an LED camping light.  Then you can play with water beads, colored tiles, or tissue paper on top.  Makes for a great tracing surface as well!
