Breakfast
Banana Pancakes
Age: 9 mo.+
- 1 egg
- 1/2 a ripe banana

Egg and Cheese Burritos
Age: 12 mo.+
- 1 whole wheat tortilla
- 1 egg
- 1/8 cup of shredded cheese
Scramble one egg. Set aside. Heat both sides of tortilla in skillet for 30 seconds on each side. Move tortilla to plate, add scrambled eggs and cheese to the center of the tortilla. Roll up tightly like a burrito. Cut in half and serve.
Yields: 1 burrito
Peanut Butter and Banana Toast
Oatmeal
Cinnamon Sugar Shaker
Need to spice up breakfast or a snack? Mix together sugar and cinnamon in a salt shaker (without the salt, of course!) and shake it on toast, fruit, pancakes, etc.!
Lunch
Avocado Toast
Age: 14 mo.+
- Slice of whole wheat bread
- Half a ripe avocado
Cut open a ripe avocado (should be soft to the touch, but not extremely squishy). While still in the skin, use a knife to score the avocado flesh in lines down and across, while being extremely careful not to cut through the skin. Then, scoop out the diced avocado into a bowl and smoosh it with a spoon, fork, or even a potato masher. Toast the bread. Spread avocado on top of toasted bread. Add salt, pepper or Trader Joe's Chili Lime Salt, if desired.
For young children, cut off edges of the toast and cut into small squares.
Yields: 1 piece of toast
Turkey and Cheese Roll-Ups
Age: 14 mo.+
- Slice of turkey
- Slice of cheese
Literally just roll up a slice of turkey and a slice of cheese like a pinwheel. Feel like a "duh!" type of recipe? Maybe so. But on those really hard days where your brain is no longer functioning, we thought it'd be good to spell things out for you. :)
Yields: 1 roll-up
